Day One

Daytime: After a road trip to get here, let the fam stretch their legs at one of Hattiesburg’s public parks and playgrounds. From slides and swing sets to massive sculptures and DIY musical joints, select the greenspace that works best for you!
Dinner: What started as a humble burger joint just off the University of Southern Miss campus, Mugshot’s now has more than 20 locations across the Southeast. The burgers are just that good! With over 20 varieties of this classic menu item and TVs on every wall of the eatery, the whole family will walk away happy!
Evening: Axe throwing has recently become popular in the US, and we like to think the very best axe bar in America is right here in Hattiesburg. Stop by Alley Cats and see which family member walks away victorious!

Day Two

Morning: The Hattiesburg Zoo is home to more than 90 species of animals. This stop will have you feeling wild with private animal encounters (like Chewie, the famous two-toed sloth), keeper talks, and up-close feedings of jaguars, tigers, and alligators oh my! If you’re walking tall after your adventure, brave the High Ropes Adventure for the best view in town!
Lunch: Lunch and a show? Oishi Hibachi & Sushi Bar offers authentic and delicious Japanese cuisine. Experience the family-friendly environment as your hibachi dinner is comedically and deliciously prepared tableside.
Afternoon: Keep the competitive juices flowing this trip with a stop at Ed’s Burger Joint, which is about much more than burgers! Challenge yourselves to giant Jenga, bocce ball, table tennis, and a hula hooping competition. Then see if anyone can complete their entire gigantic milkshake with specialty toppings like candy and cookies to bacon and waffles.
Dinner: What’s your family’s style? At Tabella, known for their giant tomato, your crew can enjoy a family-style Italian dinner or order from a complete menu of pasta and seafood dishes.

Day Three

Morning: What’s your child’s hobby? It can surely be found in Hattiesburg! Let them try their hand at indoor batting cages, bowling, paintball, or the trampoline park to keep the blood pumping.

Lunch: Lunch at T-bones Café, a Hattiesburg original. Here, you can select from a large menu of sandwiches, soups, and salads while getting lost in their expansive collection of classic and new-release vinyl. Bonus: Look outside and take photos with Hattiesburg’s Birthplace of Rock n’ Roll mural.

Afternoon: How well does your crew work together? Find out when you only have 60 minutes to escape at College Town Escape Rooms. Their four interactive puzzle rooms require teamwork to answer riddles, decipher codes, and solve clues before the clock hits 0.

Dinner: Make your last stop of this family adventure to grab an authentic Tex-Mex meal at El Rayo Mexican Restaurant. A newly opened Robert St. John restaurant with the nest queso and margaritas in town!
