Overview
Located within the Tatum Park Sports Complex, the Tatum Park Soccer Fields offer one of the largest number of fields in one location in the entire Southeastern United States. The facility offers a total of 18 fields, 15 with lights and most of which can be converted into up to four game fields for younger players to total up to 60 games at once.
In 2023, two new competition fields were built. The championship-size fields feature one turf and one natural grass flat surface with pro-level goals. In 2024, Hattiesburg was named the newest city to host a USL2 pre-professional team, the HFC Thunder, who calls these fields home. The space also hosts numerous tournaments throughout the year, with the largest welcoming 197 teams from across the Gulf South.
