The VISITHATTIESBURGTM team is here to make your stay the most comfortable, fun, easy experience you’ve ever had. Our team prides itself on providing information and tips to visitors with that Southern hospitality charm known around the world.
Recently the team won DMO of the Year, Tourism Promotion of the Year, and the Tourism Resilience Award for their efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Previously, Marlo served as the director of marketing and communications for both VisitHATTIESBURG and the Hattiesburg Convention Commission.
Marlo was also the Mississippi Development Authority’s chief marketing officer. Here, she led the state’s global marketing and communications efforts for both economic development and tourism. At MDA, she was named to the public relations team for the 10-year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and created several award-winning marketing campaigns. Marlo was part on the executive team that helped create nearly 20,000 new jobs in Mississippi and attracted more than $3 billion in private sector investment from 2012 through 2015.
Prior to MDA, Dorsey was the vice president of marketing for Jones County Junior College (JCJC) and was the CEO of Cybergate Internet Services, a family startup company that provided internet and website services to more than 5,000 monthly subscribers in the late 1990s.
Marlo currently serves as Immediate Past President of the Mississippi Tourism Association, Treasurer of the Mississippi Main Street Association, and an executive board member for the Downtown Hattiesburg Association. Additionally, she was a founding member of the
Mississippi Destination Marketing Association and serves on the advisory boards for both VisitMisissippi’s dedicated funding and the restart MS Covid-19 task force locally and statewide.
Marlo earned a broadcast journalism degree from Louisiana State University and later received an MBA in executive management. She is a graduate of Leadership Mississippi and has served on its advisory board. Dorsey was also recognized as a 2017 50 Leading Woman by the Mississippi Business Journal.
She also serves as director of the Mississippi Miss Hospitality Competition and Hattiesburg Alliance for Public Art.
With more than 16 years of experience in the tourism industry, Brock previously served as Advertising Director for publishing company HubCitySPOKES and Sales Manager for both VisitHATTIESBURG and the Hattiesburg Convention Commission. She is a 2013 graduate of the Area Development Partnership’s Leadership Pinebelt, completed Destination International’s Sales Academy I and II, and serves on a variety of local boards.
In 2023, Kristen was selected as a Top 20 Under 40 in the Pinebelt by Pinebelt News / Signature Magazine.

She works closely on many of VisitHATTIESBURG’s programs, including the Mississippi Miss Hospitality Competition, Hattiesburg Alliance for Public Art, HBURG GeoTour, and Hattiesburg Restaurant Week.
Prior to this role, Paige was the public relations coordinator for the Hattiesburg Convention Commission, where she promoted the Hattiesburg Zoo, Historic Saenger Theater, Lake Terrace Convention Center, and African American Military History Museum. She has worked in radio, newspaper, and healthcare as well.
Paige earned her master’s degree in mass communication from The University of Southern Mississippi in 2015. Prior to this, she attended Mississippi State University, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in communication with emphases in public relations and communication management in 2014. In 2022, Paige began the three-year tourism marketing college program through the Southeastern Tourism Society.
Paige is currently serving on the Downtown Hattiesburg Promotions Committee and Midtown Merchants Association Board. She is also the co-founder of Paper Cranes Editing & Design, which specializes in book editing and design services. In 2023, Paige was selected as a Top 20 Under 40 in the Pinebelt by Pinebelt News / Signature Magazine.

Prior to her full-time role as VisitHBURG’s Communication Manager, Maddie worked for the organization for more than six months as a part-time Communication Coordinator and with the Downtown Hattiesburg Association as an intern. Through these two jobs, Maddie found her passion for tourism, which she now gets to use in attracting visitors to the city. Maddie is a 2022 graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi, where she earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations and advertising.
